Carbon is one of the most important nutrients for plants. To significantly increase the growth and vitality of aquarium plants, additional carbon fertilization via a CO2 system is recommended. You will hardly recognize the growth and coloration of your plants!

The Hiwi 2000 Ultimate is a high quality CO2 system with high quality inline diffuser and noble glass components. Glass components 4are particularly inconspicuous in the aquarium and do not disturb the overall picture. You receive the system in2 Varianten, choice ofwith loose solenoid valve and with fixed solenoid valve on the pressure reducer.

Der Professional double chamber pressure reducer already has abuilt-in check valve on the needle valve The advantage of a 2-stage pressure reducer is that the cylinder pressure can be kept constant in contrast to conventional pressure reducers.

A further advantage for the 2-stage pressure regulator is that with 20 O2 remaining in the bottle, the working pressure would have to be continuously readjusted manually. However, a 10 kg bottle still contains approx. 2 kg, which would normally last for quite a while. For example, a 2 kg bottle would still contain 400 grams.

The solenoid valve is connected to the same timer as the aquarium lighting and thus works as a night shut-off. This saves CO2 and ensures that the CO2 content does not increase too much during the night when the plants cannot absorb CO2.

The 2000g reusable bottle comes of course with an initial filling and can be refilled at any CO2 refill station (pet shop, DIY store, industrial gases) for a few euros. The low refill costs of a 2kg refill in relation to a 500g refill make the system cheaper in the long run than 500g CO2 systems.
