With adequate free space, the leaves of Cryptocoryne wendtii green almost cover the substrate. Nevertheless, they can grow up to 15 cm high under good growing conditions.
Like most Cryptocorynen also the variant wendtii green comes from Sri Lanka and is found there in quite hard water. This means that it can also be kept in the aquarium in medium to hard water.
As a preventive measure, it is advisable to keep only the 4-5 newest leaves when planting.
Cryptocoryne wendtii green is especially suitable as a foreground plant in small aquariums. Planted at intervals of a few cm, it forms beautiful, lush groups that young fish in particular like to seek out for protection.
Even if the plant does not require large amounts of CO2, it is recommended to add CO2 for healthy and vigorous growth.
