Oxygen enrichment by targeted and metered addition of hydrogen peroxide in the aquarium - that is Söchting.
In heavily populated tanks, especially in shrimp tanks, in the formation of faeces, spawning fungus, Söchting oxidators have long been a common standard.

The catalyst stone (included in the scope of supply) decomposes the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into water (H2O) and pure oxygen (O2).
This is an efficient form of oxygen enrichment that, unlike conventional aerators, does not expel the CO2 required for plant growth from the water.

Söchting Oxydators allow a higher stocking of fish or invertebrates and a reduced number of water changes without increasing problems.
In addition - which can be very important in summer, for example - the oxygen release is automatically increased at higher temperatures. At an elevated outdoor temperature of 8 °C, oxygen production is approximately doubled, which counteracts shortness of breath at peak temperatures.

The special Söchting Oxydator solution with 3% or 6% concentration is required for operation, which is perfectly matched to the Söchting Oxydators.
Included in delivery is a solution for the start, which is sufficient for 2-4 weeks depending on temperature and pool.
The fill level can be checked at any time, as the housing of the oxidator is transparent.

The Söchting Oxydators are very easy to operate, easy to bring into the aquarium and compactly built, so that they only interfere with the aquarium.
